The Vocational Rehabilitation Association of Canada, in furthering its objectives of ensuring professional standards for its members, administers a registration process for professional designations. The registration process is an effective means of communicating to clients and industry agencies that members have achieved and demonstrated a recognized level of professional competence in the field of rehabilitation
* Effective July 1st, 2009 only courses taken through an accredited post-secondary institution will be accepted towards fulfillment of the core competencies. Core competency course work taken through non-accredited organizations will no longer be accepted towards the application of a designation.

The RRP designation is a nationally recognized designation. It is awarded following a review and evaluation of the applicant's university education, employment experience directly related to the rehabilitation field, and references from peers and supervisors.
The Registered Community Support Specialist (RCSS)

The RCSS designation is an option for individuals who have successfully completed a college education and received an approved diploma in an area related to case management.
