VOCATIONAL REHABILITATION ASSOCIATION OF CANADA’S ONLINE LEARNING ACADEMY (OLA)
In 2019 the Vocational Rehabilitation Association of Canada (VRAC) launched its Online Learning Academy (OLA). This online series provides cutting edge, evidence-based, peer-reviewed learning modules, developed by subject matter experts in the field of vocational rehabilitation.
The platform allows for accessible, flexible, convenient, online learning opportunities for those who are:
Currently in the field of vocational rehabilitation and seeking further education and Continuing Education Credits (CEUs);
Entering the field of vocational rehabilitation and are seeking additional knowledge and skill development;
Preparing for the College of Vocational Rehabilitation Professionals (CVRP) examination and wish to gain additional knowledge in various competency areas for certification purposes.
These modules are available to anyone – within Canada and beyond – and already have garnered international interest! Members of VRAC receive a discount on the courses as well as accrue CEUs. Please check our web site for details on how to become a member of VRAC to enjoy member prices on OLA modules and other benefits as well. These modules are competitively priced, and bulk discounts for organizations that purchase 10 or more are available.
Modules allow you to work at your own pace
Each module is available for you to complete at your own pace and in the place of your choice. Each module is pre-approved for CEUs by both VRAC and CVRP. There is an opportunity to review the contents of each module at the end, then complete a quiz to reinforce the key concepts introduced in each module. Some modules have relevant videos embedded in them, and they all draw on the most current research on these essential topics.
- The modules, cover nine different domains of study, and can take between 5 and 9 hours each to complete.
- TIn addition, VRA Canada offers a study guide for those preparing for the CVRP examination.
- TThis series will add to the skills and understanding of all VR professionals, or those hoping to join the profession.
